Apple next generation iPad and iPad mini?

Here at Solved.IT we are getting a lot of requests and mailshots suggesting that Apple are planning to release a new iPad and iPad mini that features A7 processing power – and its likely to be the middle of this year.

According to a Chinese report published yesterday in the Chinese Times, the above is entirely correct.  The report did not name any sources for the rumour but suggested that Apple may be moving away from Samsung to TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) as its chip supplier.  TSMC say in the report that they open the year with good news.  During the second half of the year there will be a new generation A7 application processor, commissioned for trial production.
 
Problems between Apple and Samsung have been globally well documented for some time now.  The rift between the two companies has been evident in many different media reports, in many countries.
Of course, and as usual, the above may be just rumours but it does seem likely that, given the success of the Apple iPad and iPad mini variations, new, faster devices will be out soon and perhaps the iPad mini will even have a retina display screen?  It is, after all and given the competition, expected….
