Solved.IT has developed a solution for organisations who require a full backup solution with fast, effective and reliable business continuity and disaster recovery functionality.
Stay Safe Vault is a low touch backup solution that is targeted primarily at Small to Medium Businesses. You have no tapes to purchase, change or manage. No more offsite headaches to worry about. The end to the forgotten rotation!
The service includes complete remote management from the our own Network Control Centre, full hardware and software support, dedicated 24 x 7 monitoring, reporting and end-user control support.
Our offering is simplistic in its format. We send or install a device on your local network. You select the folders on desktops, laptops or severs (Winidows, Apple or Linux) that you wish to be backed up. You also select Applications (Exchange, Windows Active Directory, SQL server). Our CDP (Continuous Data Protection) device will then backup all these items locally. As soon as there is an addition or an amendment to the structure the CDP agent will automatically back it up. Up to 15 changes to each file will also be backed up - i.e. if a word document is changed then the original and the change are both still available. This is particularly useful when clicking on Save rather than Save As in error.
The local appliance is then connected to a bank of appliances at our data centre via a secure AES 256 encrypted link or 3DES site-to-site VPN link if you have a SonicWALL or Stay Safe Managed Firewall Service with us.
All your data is then completely replicated offsite to our systems. However, on the local system your data is stored as various files and folders whereas at our site all your data is compressed and encrypted as a single file. This ensures safety and security of your data offsite whilst still giving you a fully redundant offsite backup complementing your onsite real-time local backup.
Minor and major disasters happen. As above, it is not uncommon to click on Save by mistake when working on an existing document - but you meant to click on Save As. If this happens on a laptop or desktop machine then you have the option to empower the user to recovery their own file. This
